Tennis!

Elizabeth and I decided to dive into a new sport this summer and although we don't know much about it yet, we are giving the game of tennis a shot! We have had a few chances to practice as the weather has been warming up, but we haven't quite got the hang of it yet. It is a lot more demanding than it looks!

Our family REALLY enjoys tennis. We love to play on Sunday afternoons with our church family after the services are done. Don't give up. You'll get the hang of it! You're right though, it is harder than it looks!
Tennis is a pretty fun game. We don't have a tennis court where we live, but David and I like to play when we go on our annual vacation, where one is available. We certainly aren't experts at the game, but at least the ball doesn't (usually at least) go over the 20-foot high fence and into the woods anymore! :P

Yeah actually one of my favorite parts of the game is scrounging around in the woods for about 5 minutes and coming back with 50 tennis balls. :)
It's kind of like scuba diving at one of those little ponds at a golf course.

Better than us! We've been playing since last summer and the ball still goes over the 20-foot fence quite frequently! But that's usually when we play with several balls at a time :)
Lol, well we haven't tried playing with several balls - that could actually become quite dangerous with the way we play sometimes! :P

My friend and I keep trying to get a multi-ball game going diagonally across the courts, but nobody else will go along with it!
Way to go guys. Tennis is a great sport. Keep it up and it gets even more fun than chasing balls and is great exercise too.

Just as a warning to everyone - don't play tennis with Lydia! She's good at hitting the ball, but she's good at hitting people too; and not just with tennis balls. She's hit me with ice cubes that she sends across the net with her racquet! :-)
