Florida!

Last week my friend Breanna and I were able to go down to Florida to look at a college as well as see Kaity and her family. We enjoyed the trip very much!
I think Mom was slightly jealous that I was able to see Lindsay first. :)

While we were down there Brent took us to the National Naval Aviation Museum.

A-7 Corsair II  We personally thought it looked like it was singing. :)
By the end of our week there Abbie had a new favorite. :)
The engine cutaways were so cool!
Brent also took us to see Fort Barrancas. It was pretty amazing!

We stayed in the dorms a couple of the nights we were down there. We were able to attend classes as well as meet several students.
We also had the opportunity to attend the Fine Arts program.
We had so much fun and enjoyed the play very much!
My amazing sister and her family took us to the beach... it was fantastic!
 I love these little goofs!

We both decided we already want to go back. ;)
Thanks for putting up with us for the week.
We enjoyed every minute of it!

Iowa Visit

We were recently able to go out to Iowa and visit Grandpa and Grandma.
Rick and Bethany were able to be there at the same time as us, we made the most of it with games and late night talks. Ronan was with them and we all enjoyed seeing him again!
Grandpa, Ronan, and Rick
Bethany, Grandma, Ronan, and Rick

Aunt Laurie was kind enough to open her home to not just our family, but Rick and Bethany as well.
The Thackers also made it out to Iowa for one of the days we were there
This little girl loves her Papa. :)
Grandpa and Molly
 Mr. Adorable!
Mom and Aunt Laurie (trying not to laugh) ;)

This house holds so many memories, it was harder than usual to say goodbye.
It was also hard to tear away from this little guy.
On the way home we stopped at a McDonald's restaurant, the decor inside was more like a hunting lodge than a fast food place. :)
All in all we had a great time!
So thankful for the family that we have!

So first off, on Saturday we were going up to help go door to door for a new church in Springfield.
It was very fun (we were doing it with friends),
but on the way Molly drove part of the time...
We almost died! Not really, she actually did a pretty good job. ;)

 Mindy and I

While in Springfield Brent gave us the first taste we have ever had of Scheels (it's sort of like a Cabela's).
Mindy found all sorts of interesting things. ;)

Molly and AJ rode the ferris wheel that was in the store.

We have enjoyed having the Gellos' with us a few times over the summer.
Pretty soon they will be taking off for Florida, we are enjoying our last couple of weeks with them.

Brent took us to the Chanute Air Museum,
It is closing down at the end of October, and will not be re-opening, so we were very glad to be able to see!
Thank you Brent!
 A beautiful F-86
David liked the mock outfit/photo prop...
but the horse was another favorite as well. ;)
We had fun, and enjoyed the couple of hours we could spend there.

Summer Update

The family went to Connecticut (without me) in May.
They enjoyed it very much!
Dad, three of his sisters, and Mama
 Molly and A.J.
Not having their older sister made them go a little goofy...

While they were in Connecticut Luke and Brent were on a missions trip to the Philippines.
They were able to see many young men saved on their trip.

Lizzie and Rick had their third child, Michael, in May.
We lost Mom for a few days while she went up to help right after the birth.
We have had several opportunities to play volleyball (a personal favorite of mine) this summer.

Cousins!
Bethann came to visit for a few days.

We were able to meet up with Rick and Bethany at the Creation Museum.
We have been to the museum once before, but enjoyed being able to go again.
We all loved being able to see them.

 Adorable Ronan!

The kids were all fascinated with the zebra/donkey mix.
Mindy and I were a little tired and wired (if that's possible).
Eli came back for a week this summer before heading to a new job out in Florida.
Kaity and Em are both expecting and are both due in October/November.
Molly and her friend Lauren
 Mindy's new boyfriend. ;)
Having nieces and nephews can sometimes bring out the silly in us.
We have a new dog! That I really like, by the way.

Mom was able to drive out with Reid and Em to see her parents (and a couple sisters).
A couple of the girls in Molly's class.
 Sisters are amazing!
 Dad and Addie (Thacker)
And I found a picture of Dad without his picture smile!
We have been able to see Brent and Kaity and the kids several times this summer.
We always enjoy having Kaity and the kids... and Brent. :)

Hopefully I will be back soon!
