Animal/Prayer week...
v

"Peter the praying parrot" demonstrating the amazing stretching power of a rubber snake...

Yes, today was one of "those" days. Everyone just felt like talking! :o)

I don't think you would catch me dead in this outfit again, but for the kids....I will do some pretty crazy stuff to keep their attention! I am already looking forward to getting back to the normal "flannel-graph" Bible stories though...much easier to prepare and teach.

Cowboy Sunday!

My 3-5 year old class was seeming to lag a little, so I decided to spice it up a bit, by having four weeks in a row, with a different character each week to teach the Bible story, play games...etc.
v
I am hoping that the Lord can use my love for children to minister to them in an effective manner and help them remember the truths of the Bible all week long in their less-than-ideal homes.
v
As you can see, the first week was cowboy themed, with our good friend, "Cowboy Steve".
v

Question/review time....

Praise the Lord, someone was listening! :o)

Yeeeehaw!

One of my little "deputies" showing me how to properly "yeehaw"

I am blessed to teach about 50 young children every Sunday about God and the Bible!
Demonstrating how my horse "Tinfoil" feels when he is lassoed...

I even kept a few of the workers interested!
(Matt is my right-hand man in the class.)

Jack's Birthday
-
Jack turned 19 yesterday. This was Luke's creative way of wishing him a wonderful day!

Being dramatic. This box contained clothing. :)

Fun with the Arnolds
-
Last week we enjoyed having the Arnold Family to our home. We had a great time, as we always do with them.
-
Here we're playing a game of 'Annie Over' in the dark. It's easy to get nailed with the ball, when you can't see it coming toward you! :)
-
Team mates - Jack and Levi

-
After several games of Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Annie Over, we went inside and spent some time in Jack's room.

We were supposed to raise our hand when Jack called out our team number. The funny thing is, Nikki and I were on different teams!
-Once we had figured out which team we were on...Jack explained the rules of the game.
-
Levi and Eli are great friends...but this is what happens when they're on opposite teams! :)

Crystal and John's wedding
-
Here are some pictures from a wedding we went to on Sat.
I'm mainly posting for Kaity, since she is a good friend of Crystal's, but wasn't able to attend the wedding. However, there might be some others of you who know the Briddick family.
-
You'll have to excuse the poor quality of the pictures. We were doing the 'take-a-picture-fast-before-the-battery-runs-out' thing.

Esther is also Crystal's sister...and a great friend of mine.

*BTW, more posts will be coming soon. Our internet was down for a couple of days, so we're a little backed up.

When Mom told Aiden to write the alphabet, lower and upper case...he decided to be creative.

The 'G' is my personal favorite!
