Savos Tour

Loved the time with Lizzie. <3
Amanda did an incredible job as Rudolph.

--God has given Jack, Emily and I the opportunity to be a part of a string orchestra that has just come together this year.
There are fourteen young people in Savos Strings (twelve of whom are pictured above) whose ages range from 23 to 13. --

--Our first concert is coming up soon, on December 5th. We'll be playing Christmas carols in the Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, IN --

--The word "Savos" means Saved --

--Updates will be put on the Savos Strings blog. So be sure to check it out, and leave a comment to let us know what you think--

--Our Christmas concert has 12 selections which include, seven orchestra pieces, three string quintets, and two piano duets--

--Ten out of the fourteen members of our group are also pianists--

--It's really amazing the way that God has allowed us to come together as a group. At the beginning of this year, I only knew five of the people who are now involved in this project. (And two of those five are my own siblings)--

--It's been so much fun getting to know everyone as we rehearse each month--

--We're looking forward to performing together throughout 2010. I can hardly wait to see what God is going to do with Savos Strings! --

In a comment from one of our readers:

It looks like you had a good time in Iowa! Hey Lizzie-do you have any videos of you playing the violin that you could post?

Well, I don't have any from Thanksgiving...but here's one of the songs I played that day. It's from a few weeks ago when we were practicing for church.
The sound quality is poor since it was taken on a digital camera.

Crystal and John's wedding
-
Here are some pictures from a wedding we went to on Sat.
I'm mainly posting for Kaity, since she is a good friend of Crystal's, but wasn't able to attend the wedding. However, there might be some others of you who know the Briddick family.
-
You'll have to excuse the poor quality of the pictures. We were doing the 'take-a-picture-fast-before-the-battery-runs-out' thing.

Esther is also Crystal's sister...and a great friend of mine.

*BTW, more posts will be coming soon. Our internet was down for a couple of days, so we're a little backed up.

Some of you were asking about pictures from my trip to FL. We were busy with the wedding, so I'm a little late getting them on.
