Shopping...
-
Among the "frequently asked questions" that our family receives, come the curious questions about shopping, food prep. and so on.
Today, Liz and I went shopping together, hitting 3 stores. Here we piled a couple of carts full of laundry soap, produce, meat, frozen foods, cheese, milk and a variety of food for the next two weeks.
One of the most amusing things to observe is the glances we get from other shoppers. Ha! They must wonder about us, sometimes.

A party? A family reunion? Nope, this is simply routine.

I have to say, shopping in the barn, chicken coop and garden is a whole lot more fun!
Those pictures definitely look familiar. :)
As of now, I am the unfortunate person to have been chosen for the position of Refrigerator and Freezer stuffer so I have a particular dislike for groups of grocery bags containing cold items. lol.
Hopefully when I get my Driver's License my lot will improve to the actual shopping for all those refrigeratorable items. :D
I am just glad I don't have to do the shopping for our "not so small" family! :o)
"I am just glad I don't have to do the shopping for our "not so small" family! :o) "
HAHA.........But if you EVER have to go shoping, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!! :)
Guess who got to help make bread today :-)
Drew, you need to go through a spelling course. It's spelled s-h-o-p-p-i-n-g NOT s-h-o-p-i-n-g!
"It's spelled s-h-o-p-p-i-n-g NOT s-h-o-p-i-n-g!"
WRONG!!!!!!! "It's" is spelled: I-t-'-s
:-)
Lol...it is most curious that a post was deleted by the author. Is it possible it was deleted for spelling reasons...? :D
Way to go, Kaity!! What a shopper!!! What a trooper!!! What a superwoman!!! What a.......Ok...I guess you get the point. :)
"It's" is nothing compared to "shoping" :)
Not only that, but if English wouldn't have all of the - exceptions, it WOULD be i-t-'-s!
At least Drew dosn't hide his posts behind "Anonymous".
Timothy, was that written just for "dosn't" or were you trying to get a point across?
That is very nice that "Anonymous" is so grammatically correct....but I don't think many people really pay attention to a message where the author is too afraid to sign their name! :o)
The one good thing that has come from this is....now every one will check their spelling carefully before submitting a new comment! :oP
That's a good one Jack! Everyone take a guess as to who it is.
WOW!!! all this over "shoping" :)
D3-
Nope, I didn't want this to turn into a grammer "war" too.
"Timothy, was that written just for "dosn't" or were you trying to get a point across?"
Lydia----- I thik hee rite taht becus uf booth tinhgs.
Rachel, Take a look at my post........I don't need to guess, I know. :-]
So Drew,
You think it is Lydia?
I was going to say that I thought it was a girl...the writing style kind of sounds like it. But I don't know all your friends too well yet. (Fairlambs, Courters, Whalens)
Well Jack, I'm so glad to find out that I'm grammatically correct. Now if you could convince my mom of that....!
Andrew, if this did turn into a "grammar" war, I'd know who would lose! :)
And for all of you, its NOT grammar its SPELLING!
I don't spose I knows much bout a grammer war, but I do knows that both of me grandpas were ins world war 2........my grammers staid at home.
Lol...that's like when the teacher came and knocked on the door and a little boy answered. She asked him, "Is your father or mother home?"
He answered, "No. They is shopping."
The teacher gasped, "Oh my where is your grammar?!"
He promptly responded, "In the kitchen making cookies." :D
wow, looks like you guys have a big family. Wonder what it would be like if I knew of a big family?
Hey, I have to admit that I rather think it neat to be part of a big family shopping expedition. Its about as close to military level supply purchasing you are going to get outside of the DoD.
