Creation Museum and Visiting Rick...
-
Good morning everyone! Well, there is so much to tell about our trip to Ohio, seeing Rick again and visiting the recently opened Creation Museum that if I started to go into all the detail... suffice it to say, we would be here for quite some time.
So, I'll put in comments as you look through the pictures, but will try not to make it too long. There are lots more pictures - I think Jack is planning on posting soon, with more pictures from inside the museum.
-
Welcome to Ohio... and what a welcome sign that was!
-
Family picture with all of us, outside the museum. (Baby is due in about 5 weeks.)
-
Rick's tour group, on Sunday evening. We had the privilege of attending BOTH churches that they sang in on Sunday, and really enjoyed that. They have an awesome blend.
-
Here we are at the creation museum. This is right near the entrance. If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend this place. It was so incredible!
-
The bookstore. Oh my, you could spend half of your life savings in this place! You look around and see one book after another CD, after another tool that you're just like, "Wow." A lot of good material here.
-
Rick and I. He's still the same wonderful brother that he's always been!
-
A trilobite, encased for display.
-
Check this out.
-- Aiden was enjoying this display.
--
Lunchtime! They have a nice eating area outside, so folks can bring their own lunches.
--
We celebrated Rick's birthday on Monday too. Happy birthday, bro!
-
A couple of pictures of the many outdoor decor.
-
-
Back inside now...
-
-
Looking at the fish and turtles. The younger ones really liked this part of the museum.
-
Who's your dentist?
-
They had these signs in several places along the way, "Thou Shalt Not Touch! Please."
-

Getting ready to say goodbye after our much enjoyed visit. Praise the Lord for this awesome opportunity he allowed us to have. What an experience!

That's awesome you guys got to go there...it's really great that Christians are going right in to all these areas that atheists have had big "Keep Out" signs on for so long.

Just the fact that evolutionists have been so outraged that it's been permitted to open shows that it's powerful stuff. :)

Wow, it must've been so neat being there... not only is it one of the first (if not the first) modern museums with a Creation worldview, but I hear it's really hightech, too. Our family's planning on going there sometime in the future - that should be fun.

Looks like you'll had a lot of fun! I'm glad that you enjoyed your time together so much. The museum looks like it was really interesting. I don't know when we'll get down there to visit it though! :-)

Awesome, Awesome.

What AIG and Ken Ham have done is just tremendous. I look forward to some day going down there to tour the place.

For a long time the other side has had the funding needed to make their stuff look first class. Too many times we've had to settle for products that were solid biblically and logically but were not done in a first rate way. Now, the Creation Museum provides us with a powerful educational tool to evangelize for the cause of Christ.

Ditto Brian. It's such a problem that most Christians don't see certain areas as worth spending time and money on such as museums and the movie industry but increasingly we're seeing first-class projects like the Creation Museum and the awesome movie, "Facing the Giants" going all out in these areas to reach people.

So what did you think about Rick's group? Interested in anyone?

Anonymous,
We really enjoyed the time with the group; they are all sharp guys.
We're so glad Rick gets to travel with such fun, happy, and spiritual young men. God has blessed their summer so far. We pray for them often, of course, and for the preaching services that they are in.
It will be good to have Rick home again in several weeks.

Kaity, I was just going back to look at all your pictures from the museum again. Was it busy at all the day you went? Both times I've been there, there have been pretty long lines for things. In your pictures, there really don't seem to be that many other people beside your group.
