An evening with the Sikmas...
-
Last night, we had some good friends over for a few hours. The parents went out to eat together, while we young folks stayed at the house and played some volleyball & table games.
-

If any of you have ever played the game "Sound Off" with a large group, you know how crazy it can get! Sometimes we were laughing so hard it was difficult to even act out the card in our hand.
-
Mindy and Chloe, enjoying their supper in the beautiful weather.
-
We pulled out the instruments for awhile too.
-
Here we are at that marvelous game, "Dutch Blitz"! Manners are not much considered... you have to just jump in for all you're worth or you're slaughtered. There were dozens of hands slapping and cards flying.
-
See what I mean?

We had a great time, thanks for having us over. The fact that 90 miles lie between Wanatah and Sheldon makes each occasion to get together an exciting event. We talked about this event for days beforehand and we'll be talking about it for several days aftwords I'm sure!

I've never heard of Sound Off or Dutch Blitz but the latter really looks like alot of fun and the way you described it (and the picture you posted) really reminds me of "Spoons" which is possibly the craziest and most fun card game ever invented. :)

Thanks for a great time of food, fun, and fellowship.

Friday night was a highlight for sure!

And by the way, d3 spoons does not compare to Dutch Blitz!
