A pic of the approaching storm last night. I couldn't capture any good bolts, so I just got a few of the sky lighting up from the cloud-to-cloud lightning.

great shot! i've tried to take a shot from some bolts, but had no luck, because of my old camera.. i hope, the storm was not so strong there.. are there you and your family lives more intensive weather phenomens to view who could be a visible aspect of climatic change and why did you delete my last comment on yesterday (A day at the Walsh's house) or do you not accept comments from germany? have a blessed weekend and sorry for my poor english :o)
Yes, it helps to have a camera with the option of setting the shutter to "bulb" mode in order to capture lightning.
AS to the comment on the last post. No, we did not delete any comment from you. Perhaps your computer did not send it through? At any rate, we do not delete any comments off our blog unless they are rude or obscene. (Which I am sure yours was not.)
By the way, don't apologize for your English....if I tried to write in German I might be able to write two or three words! :o)
no, i've only wrote on my last comment on yesterday, that the day at the walsh's house must have been a great day for you all, and i unknown person visit your family blog since some weeks and enjoy it a lot to follow the activities, it's really nice to read the blog entries and to watch the photos.. and i've wrote, that god may bless you all there.. so today after i've seen, my comment was no more to read i was quite unsure, that maybe only comments from family members or friends would be accepted..
well, to my person only short, i'm a 40 years old male, believing christian and upcoming gardener (plantfreak), living in lower-saxony in germany countyside, who loves to take photos, well, until my old canon ixus is no more and now to wait for a new one.. which camera did you've used for the storm photograph?
have a blessed and hopefully sunny weekend without storms - the weather forecaster said, that some stormy weather will coming here in the next hours, an after that, with cooler temperatures..
the Canon Digital SLR 20D is a really expensive camera? i've got no experience with this kind of cameras only with the little compact class digital cameras like the canon ixus series, which i personally like, but the possibilities are not so good with them.. ah, before i forget, yes, your blog was inspire me to try a blog, too *haha* so, if you like, may have a look at my blog, but be warned, i'm a absolute beginner with blogs.. i have uploaded some photos there, i've taken last year here countryside - i love to live near the nature countryside..
so many greetings to you and your family and god bless Sandro

Sandro,
I used a Canon Digital SLR 20D on tripod for the shot.
Great shot! I always love a good storm!
