Supercross

I had the opportunity recently to watch some good friends race at a local county fair. Below are pictures of some of the riders.

Levi pulls off a nice jump in front of the grandstand...

Levi, getting cheered on by his siblings...

This kid was smokin' the turns!

They even had some 4 year olds out there!

Matt, showing for the crowd...(notice the foot off the pegs)

Burning the corner...

Matt waves as he crosses the finish line.

That looks like alot of fun - nice pictures too! Were the four year olds in their own division or were they out with the rest of the guys? It seems really dangerous to me for someone just one year older than my youngest brother Peter to be out there on a dirt bike at all, let alone racing. That's pretty amazing though that a four year old could do that...

Great pictures, Jack! I especially love the one of Levi jumping and all of the siblings in the background.

No, the four year olds and younger guys had their own division. They divide the classes by age and engine power on the bikes.

As to the safety...yes, I was a little bit scared for the really little guys, and they had a few spills. But you have to realize that most of the really little guys just rolled over the jumps...they didn't really take any air. :o)
