Yesterday, we drove up to northern Indiana to see some longer distance friends and spend some time together.  We had a great time catching up with one another and sharing lots of laughter.

Here are a few pics from the day:

Joel was my fellow photographer for the day with his family's Canon Rebel.

Nate was our chief trail navigator as we walked from park to park along the river.

Even though everything was dead and brown at this time of year, it was still a very pretty spot to walk through.

Friend picture!

I am not sure if Eli was wearing the green in honor of St. Patrick's day, but it sure goes well with his red hair!

This innocent looking little ride seemed harmless...

Until someone gave it a whirl and suddenly the force of the the pull on your arms and upper body multiplied about three million times. :o)

For clarification, this is not a picture of me relaxing.  It is a picture of me trying to hold on for dear life and hoping I won't throw up when it finally slows down.   I am still not really sure why we chose to ride this thing.

Eli demonstrates how to duck under a bar that is made for younger children. :o)

It doesn't take much for us and our friends to have a great time...just give us a tire swing and off we go!

The monkey in our family didn't take long to climb to the top of the swing set.

The balance barrel was tried a few times, but after it was found to be pretty much impossible, we assigned it as a seating area.

The only thing better than being on the "spinner of sickness" is to be an onlooker of the unfortunate soul that is on it.

This picture was blurry for some reason, but this was most of our group for the day.

Virgil and Aimee were so kind to open their house for us to come over and enjoy some pizza and games afterwards.

We had a ton of fun playing "four-on-a-couch" with everyone.  There were many hilarious moments during the games that had everyone in the room laughing out loud.

Thank you Wescos and Hicks, you guys are such a Godly encouragement to us!

Looks like you all had a great time! I love the pictures at the park; I have always thought it would be really fun to do a photo-shoot at a park...just haven't found someone willing to yet! :)

Oh and BTW I thought I'd mention that my Ultimate Frisbee team won both games that we played.

Love the picture of Karisse and Liz getting twirled on the tire swing...way to go, Em.

You seem just a little happy about winning, Eli.

It's amazing how much fun young adults can have in a children's playground! :)

We loved seeing you all again! Thanks for taking the time to come and visit for a day.
