Last month Luke went on a missions trip to Bahamas with a group from church.
He said that it was a great experience and he hopes to go again next year.

They went to help with the annual Vacation Bible School.
"Huddle" (study) groups and other random pictures...
 ...more huddle groups.
Pastor Jason Lowe and his family.
All the kids and group leaders for VBS.
The group from our church. (and the Lowe kids) ;)

At home more recently I went out to look at our flower gardens, and although I have shamefully neglected them this year they still seem to be thriving. :)
Among many other things coming out of the garden, corn is one of our favorites!
I have babysat these kids several times lately (the stories I could tell), and found out it is impossible to get them all still for a picture! ;)
And this is what we still have time for once in a while... a goofy picture!
Have a great day!

Happenings....

We finished getting our garden in! (Yay!) :)

Emy, Eli, Luke and I were able to go play laser tag with the Thacker family and David Garcia,
so much fun, and our team won! That is always a plus! ;)
Emily is now on a missions trip in the Bahamas with Amanda Gardner and Alexis Thacker.

~ Let us Smile ~

The thing that goes the farthest
Toward making life worthwhile,
That costs the least and does the most
Is just a pleasant smile.

That smile that bubbles from the heart
That loves its fellow men,
Will drive away the clouds of gloom
And coax the sun again.
It's full of worth and goodness, too,
With manly kindness blent;
It's worth a million dollars,
And it doesn't cost a cent.

Before you put on a frown, make absolutely sure there are no smiles available. ~Jim Beggs

If you don't start out the day with a smile, it's not too late to start practicing for tomorrow.

Another random picture post...

We enjoyed having Kaity and Brent back for a few days. Kaity helped the kids make choc. chip cookies that were really delicious!

Connor was sure that he wanted to go on the road with Brent & Kaity. But after he was told he had to stay home, he gave Kaity a big 'goodbye hug'.

Saying goodbye is the only part of B & K's visits that we don't enjoy!

There's just something about springtime that makes you smile.

The first flower to bloom this year was a dwarf iris.
